Mike Cavanagh, President
Mike Cavanagh has spent nearly every step of his career wading through a technological leap. He and his team have guided clients including the City of Burbank, Nike, and nearly every major studio through the changes in post-production technologies and digital outreach to audiences. The founder and president of KeyCode Media said one thing has kept him at the forefront of digital media strategies: finding ways new technology can make things better for clients. In the 13 years since its founding, KeyCode Media has expanded to include offices in Chicago, San Francisco, Irvine and Seattle, with most of the 54 staff members based in the company's Burbank headquarters. Last year, the technology consulting and resale company reached $33 million in sales.
Ed Locke, Vice President of Technology
Experienced Technology and Sales professional with 19 years of related experience. With roots in IT Ed executes new procedures, tackle tough problems, and deal with sensitive situations. Starting his career at Avid Technology he spend a decade fixing, deploying, designing for media production. He's designed system integration for hundreds of clients, including: ABC, NBC, CBS, Warner Bros and Comcast among many others.
Michael Kammes, Director of Technology & Marketing
In his current role as Director of Technology & Marketing at Key Code Media, Michael consults, demonstrates and engineers workflows benefiting the media creation industry: acquisition, stereoscopy, storage, editorial, audio, finishing, encoding, distibution, and archive. His background of integration and configuration of both hardware and software, coupled with his production experience, gives him a keen insight into the future of the post industry. As a technologist, he’s been a keynote speaker at colleges, conventions, technology retreats and symposiums.
Erika Frederick, Vice President of Western Sales
Erika Frederick has 20+ years of sales experience in the both the traditional IT market as well as in the media and entertainment market. She has extensive knowledge of information management in large data centers including but not limited to: Disney, Deluxe, DreamWorks, Fox, NBC/Universal, Paramount, Sony, Technicolor, Warner Bros and AOL.
Outside media and entertainment companies Erika has worked with include Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo, Boeing, Bechtel, Chevron, Starbucks, and Nike.
She has a proven ability to introduce new technology solutions into the market, and successfully educate clients on the effects of business decisions on IT. At Key Code Media we effectively guide customers toward making profitable technology decisions by facilitating conversations between Creative Services, IT, the lines of business, and general counsel when necessary.
John Connolly Sr., Vice President of Midwest Sales
John Connolly Sr. is an industry veteran with 20+ years experience in AV/IT consulting & management. Formerly, President of Midwest Media, John is a fantastic addition to the management team a Key Code Media, located in Schaumburg.
His strong ties with technical manufacturers guarantees a smoother and more reliable integration experience. His vendor ties include: Avid, Autodesk, Panasonic, Evertz, Apple, Newtek, Miranda/Nvision, Front Porch Digital, Facilis, AJA, Sony, Haivision, Telestream, Marshall Electronics, Blackmagic Design, Sierra Video Systems/Kramer, Data Direct, Spectra Logic, JVC, Matrox, etc.
