next-generation high-end performance chipset for Intel
Pentium® 4 processors delivers fast dual-channel DDR-2
533 MHz memory, reducing power consumption and increasing
data throughput.

Intel EM64T is available on select configurations of the
HP xw4200 Workstation with the Intel Pentium® 4 processor.
Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology will expand addressable
memory space to 16TB, aiding in the design and manipulation
of huge data sets or models.
- Enable advanced high-performance visualization: The
PCI Express (x16) graphics interface provides four times
the total peak bandwidth and two times the unidirectional
bandwidth of AGP graphics.
- Significantly increase bandwidth with two slots for
PCI Express (x1) I/O: The next generation of I/O interface
increases bandwidth to 250 MB/s (unidirectional) and 500
MB/s (peak). With a dedicated point-to-point interface,
cards plugging into the interface are not sharing data
bandwidth with other cards.
- Access data faster through greater bandwidth: Integrated
four-channel SATA controller with RAID provides faster
access to data through greater bandwidth (vs. parallel
ATA). The four channels allow you to attach up to four
hard drives within the system. The RAID-capable hard drive
controller provides either high-performance striped (RAID
0) disk arrays or high-reliability mirrored (RAID 1) disk
arrays.
- Easily convert, access, and service your workstation:
The versatile, convertible minitower allows a deskside
or desktop configuration, and the award-winning tool-less
chassis design makes it easier to service, upgrade, and
maintain.
- Integrate numerous storage and I/O controllers: The
HP xw4200 offers high expandability with six bays and
seven slots, supporting up to four internal HDD, one or
two optical disks, optional floppy, one PCI Express (x16)
graphics slot, two PCI Express (x1) I/O slots, and four
legacy PCI slots.
- Share drives with your HP laptop: Slim form factor
multibay support allows you to share optical drives, hard
drives, and floppy drives between your HP notebook, mobile
workstation, PC, and your HP xw4200 Workstation.
- Custom configure your workstation to your requirements:
HP Performance Tuning Framework will guide your system
setup, allowing a "custom" configuration that
best matches the workstation to user requirements. This
customization facilitates availability of the latest graphics
cards and drivers and removes some memory restraints.
