Former Senior CBS Engineer John Ferder Takes Broadcast Leadership Role at Key Code Media

Key Code Media is pleased to welcome John Ferder, as its Vice President of Broadcast Engineering. With over 35 years of experience in broadcast engineering– 22 of the years as the Director of Studio and Post Production Engineering at CBS- Ferder looks forward to bringing his deep technical expertise into something valuable for Key Code Media broadcast customers.

“Before joining Key Code Media, I was responsible for the design, construction, and support of all production and postproduction facilities in the CBS Broadcast Center. This included exciting projects, such as renovations for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” HD upgrades for “NFL Today,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “60 Minutes,” “48 Hours,” – John Ferder.

John also gives back to the industry, serving on the Board of Governors for SMPTE. John became an SMPTE Fellow in 2012, serving on the Program Committee since 2015, and also serves on the Board of Editors. He is currently serving as the SMPTE Secretary/Treasurer.
