Adobe On-Prem Post Production: Building A Hybrid Facility Workflow

In this episode of Broadcast2Post, Adobe product specialists, the Key Code Media team, and a few Adobe workflow partners take a deeper look into how Adobe On-Prem facility workflows for collaborative post production teams are transitioning to a hybrid at-home, at-work workflow.

A Hybrid Approach With Adobe, EditShare, Key Code Media

In this video, we provided a simple hybrid workflow, which keeps the video shared storage on-prem, providing both on-prem and remote editors a collaborative experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and other Creative Cloud products.

In this presentation we demonstrate:

  • EditShare EFS Media Storage – Share collaborative projects and media with creative users working on-prem and remote. While the focus of this blog is around Adobe workflows, EditShare works well with Apple, Avid, Autodesk, Blackmagic Design creative tools.
  • EditShare FLOW – This is a media management tool, available on-prem and remotely via a web browser. FLOW is compatible with most media types. Engineers can use the system to manage to ingest and file structure, AE’s can use it to organize and tag metadata, while Producers can use this tool for in-timeline comments and review/approve.
  • FLOW Panel For Premiere Pro – A plug-in that directly connects FLOW with any editor using Premiere Pro. Editors can pull any media, or sequences available on FLOW directly into their timeline. On-Prem and remote editors also have the option to download proxy media so they can continue to work on projects from anywhere. Then, sync back all updated media and sequences the next time the editor has internet connectivity.
