Key Code Media Acquires Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS)

Broadcast Equipment Provider and System Integrator Combine Forces To Become Major Northwest Reseller.

Los Angeles, CA – Key Code Media, the nationwide leading broadcast and post-production systems provider, has reached an agreement to acquire Pacific Northwest-based professional video and audio systems integrator Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS). The acquisition creates a broadcast, post-production, audio, lighting, and AV integration company with an unparalleled bench of technical support, design, and sales resources. The goal is to provide clients a one-stop business for production equipment and consultation needs- from building production stages and studios- to training and managing complex file-based media systems.

Mark Siegel now VP of Business Development at Key Code Media

“Mark Siegel (founder of ABS) and his team bring 38 years of experience building broadcast, conference rooms, chamber rooms, schools, house of worship and radio stations- an area of business that has been growing for Key Code Media,” said Mike Cavanagh, President of Key Code Media. “Advanced Broadcast Solutions’ client base, vendor relationships, and solutions match up well with Key Code overall strategy. Our combined audio and video engineering teams will offer PNW clients greater access to reliable equipment and workflows- from acquisition to distribution. We’re especially excited to adopt Advanced Broadcast Solutions’ experience in video signal flow, venue installations, professional audio and studio lighting.”

“Key Code Media and Advanced Broadcast Solutions come from different areas of the spectrum- but meet in the middle,” said the owner of Advanced Broadcast Solutions, Mark Siegel. “The ABS team is thrilled to expand our offerings into media storage, asset management, and transcoding workflows- great compliments to our traditional broadcast and terrestrial business. Over the next few weeks, ABS and Key Code Media will meet with our clients and vendors- introducing our new combined offerings. We are excited!”

With the transition, Mark Siegel will become VP of Business Development for Key Code Media. The Advanced Broadcast Solutions Seattle office will receive conference room and demo room upgrades- giving the Pacific Northwest production industry a new place to demo new technology before purchasing.

Key Code Media will also gain access to Advanced Broadcast Solutions custom AutoCAD-to-Quote system which quickly extracts products from a drawing into a quote that customers can review for purchase.
